Biography:
Dr. Carmen Jacinto-Hernandez studied human nutrition at the Universidad Veracruzana, Mexico. She joined the Oilseeds Program. In 1984 she had a training on oilseeeds at the Grain Research Laboratories, Agriculture Canada. Later on studied to get her masters (1988) and PhD (2000) at the Instituto Politecnico Nacional in Mexico city. She began working about dry beans quality. After she had postdoctoral fellowship in 2005, supervised by Drs. Teresa Millan y Juan Gil at the Genetics Laboratory, University of Cordoba, Spain. She participates in the Bean Breeding Program of the Valle de México Experimental Station.
