Biography:
Sampatirao Dilip is a doctoral research scholar at the ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute, National Institute for Plant Biotechnology (NIPB), New Delhi, India. His research focuses on understanding drought stress responses in chickpea using genome-wide transcriptome, long non-coding RNA, and microRNA analyses integrated with detailed drought phenotyping. His work aims to identify key regulatory gene–miRNA modules governing drought tolerance and to translate these findings into genome editing–based strategies for developing climate-resilient chickpea cultivars.
