Biography:
Dr Geetika Singh, Alumini of Panjab University, She has published more than 35 research papers in various international and national journals, and more than 20 articles in various national magazines ( ICAR) and e-newletters. She has been teaching for last 6 years in reputed college of Chandigarh. Currently teaching in Aryans college, Rajpura. An academician, who has researched extensively on Bamboos during her PhD in Panjab University, Chandigarh under the ICMR fellowship. She has qualified CSIR NET and GATE in 2012. Her work was on increasing the viability period of bamboo seeds through various invigouration treatments which helped the people of northeast India , as their economy is completely dependent upon bamboos. She is life member of Indian Botanical society and member of Indian Science Congress. She is recipient of Young scientist Awardee for outstanding contribution and service in field of botany recognized by Academy for environment and lifesciences, Agra. She has several books in this area including cell biology, genetics and plant breeding, phycology and mycology, bryophytes and pteridophytes, microbial genetics published by Vikas publishers, New Delhi.
